Just got a couple of actual Holley brand Summit kits for a friend's 600 - 1850. The bowl screws are some sort of black plastic? Anyone had this experience? I'm hoping there's absolutely NO issues with sealing.

Yes, if you are talking the bowl screw “washers” they have been coming plastic for a long time now. Never had any issues with them my self. They don’t want you laying into those screws anyway, for obvious reasons.Swingn’

Plastic is the ONLY materiel those gaskets should be made of. Holley being the cheap skate they are used paper gaskets for years and they sucked.

Black or white, plastic, nylon whatever, they work. If you’ve ever experienced the thrill of picking at paper to clean the screw recesses of the bowls you’ll fully appreciate and understand why they are what they are now.

Good to know. I had a reusable set from Moroso years ago, but they were clear/white-ish. I never had the paper ones leak, but they are hard to remove after a long while. Thanks for the replies.
