I will be rebuilding my 4150 Holley soon. Is there a problem with running the notched nitrophyl float on the secondary and a brass on the primary? Or do both floats need to be of the same material? I plan on running the jet extensions is why I ask…

A little tip when you get to the floats submerge them in water to be sure there sealed tight. In the past I have had some floats with a small pin hole, you know what happens if the float fills with gas :banghead:

I know brand new does not allways mean perfect, but I would have really expected a new holley float to work as intended. I assume this happened to you with "new" floats??

I t did once on a new plastic and a brass one years back,so now any rebuild I do I check them out.Good luck on the rebuild.
