Holley plating

Does anyone have any information regarding the plating Holley uses from the factory? It appears to be cadmium or something similar. I'd like to replate my Holley (or have it replated) and was wondering if anyone has had any success with this. I have an older Year One catalog which lists Holley replating, however, the cost was as much as a new carb which kind of eliminates that idea. Suggestions? Ideas? Links? Thanks!

Yes, Holley has a service in which you can send it in and they'll replate (cad). Or if you're a DIY'er you can check out something like: www.caswellplating.com to learn about it.
