so a litttle back ground, the car has been sitting for 10 years give or take. It would idle perfect hot or cold, but any time you jump on the gas it sputtered like it was going to die "and sometimes did" and then...poof the power came back. I was told it could be the accelerator pump so I went ahead and rebuilt the carb and put it back in. got it all hooked up and it runs a little better but still have the same issue. any ideas on carb or do i need to start looking for issues else where?

Have you checked if the accelerator pump squirts fuel when opening the throttle. Check with engine off, use safety glasses.

do you have to have the bowl off for that or jsut look down through the top?
