Holy crap...new quarters, trunk, etc is a lot of work.

Putting new quarters, trunk floor extensions, deck filler panel, and an outer wheelhouse in my 71 Barracuda.

No wonder this costs a fortune if you pay someone to do it. It is a ton of work!!!
 
Certainly is, a lot of fit up, double and triple checking since once she's welded in its ugly to try and fix any mistakes. Loves to see your progress.

Yes it is- now you can imagine doing , both 1/4's, trunk extension, outer wheel wells, floor pan and rockers. A few hundred hours of labor. That is why allot of people buy them done and when you think about it 10K to 20K is not allot of money for a done car.
 
Here is a little motivation to keep you going and not give up. I just finished mini tubs, new trunk extensions, outer wheel houses, rockers and quarters. It took me about 2 months of late evenings. Glad that it is done, but it was so worth it.
 
Yup, my build thread is living proof of a 1000 hours easy. Just how it is. Have fun!
