Home Improvement Question

-
I finished building our dream house this year. Now I am installing the sprinker system and doing top soil and some landscaping. It never ends. My dart is sitting on jack stands in the garage waiting for me when I have time once the snow flies.
Building or improving your own home can give you a tremendous sense of accomplishment, just like an auto resto.
Need to start this.

Does helping my brother get into his new modular count. He doesnt do construction and i do so....im helping?

I've done so many remodeling I can't even list it all, and I'm not a carpenter or home builder. Right know I finished 900 sq/ft of new laminate flooring after removing the carpet and sub flooring and having to soak every corner because someones dog pee'd there. Oh and paint and trim and now the old lady is adding more remodel stuff. I roue the day I became unemployed, I'd be glad to go back to work, I'd work less! So much for working on my F150 or Dart.........Good thing I got the truck done enough to use it!

OK - so for the next question.

How many of you would like me to start a home improvement forum?

not me. i spend enough time on the puter. need a motivational site though that will kick me out in the garage.

Im thinking DIY / Home Improvement with specific areas for things like garage / shop improvements, tools, decks, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, man caves, etc.

IM open to suggestion!

Joey, just from personal experience I think a forum here like that will be a success. I Admin a site called Chevytalk.com and we added a similar forum called In the Garage and Around the house. It's been a pretty well received forum and seems to get quite a bit of traffic. Like this site, we have a lot of professionals in various aspects of building so there's hardly ever a question that goes unanswered. If a forum like that were to be started here I'd do my best to answer any tile related questions. I've been a ceramic tile installer for 23 years now and I know Homecloned and Memike have done it too. In my opinion this kind of forum can't lose.

Regards
Red

I think a forum like that would be well received here on FABO.

Well, Im thinking of starting another whole site, not just adding a forum on here.

Reason being - I dont want to muddy things up too much here with DIY home improvement stuff.
