72 Dart Swinger, replaced fiberglass hood with a stock metal one. The guy I bought the hood from sold me a pair of hinges off a Duster (don't know the year), told me that the hinges were the same. Problem is that the hood is raised up about an inch in the back. ??? I peeked under it and it's not hitting anything. and the hood is pulled all the way forward on the adjustments on the hinges. still latches though. Any thoughts? thanks

The front and rear bolts of the hinges on the hood side will allow you to set the height. For example, loosen the front one just a little and the rear one a little more. Close the hood and gently push down on the rear corner of the hood - it should drop. You may have to do this with the hood open by loosening just one bolt, move hood, retighten a little at a time till it's right. There's actually quite a bit of vertical adjustment because of the oversize holes in the hinge.
