Has anyone replaced the hood caulking between the hood brace and hood skin.
The 1967 Barracuda body that I am restoring is in prep and the cauling has shrunk causing major tsunami waves. I contacted 3M concerning their NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness) Dampening Material, but they would not commit to providing a suggested product unless they know what the actual material was. Try contacting Chrysler Tech to get answer for a 50 year old car will be futile. Has anybody had success with one of the 3M NVH products? Any recommendations? Rigid or Flexible? Maybe even an answer as to what was the material originally used would be helpful.
Thanks,

I did mine with seam sealer and used thin wood wedges to seperare the 2 so I could get the caulkall the way through. It turned it nice

Thanks Sedanman and S340 for your quick response. I like that the Lord product specifically states "hood panel to supports" in their cut sheet. Whereas 3M does not.
Will move in that direction.
Thanks again
