Hood Hinge

Ok gang here is my issue. I have a 65 Signet it was in an accident hit in front, sheet metal replaced, frame is straight. However the torsion bars have been tweeked for the hood. So I was thinking can I get 67 hinges to work if I weld in a support for it?

Anyone know anything if I can do that? I was also thinking the gas strut rod system as well.

I was thinking about gas struts too. Finding a way to get the angle you need and have the correct travel. I bet somebody on here has done that.
