Use yourself a newer medium to longer v-belt to stretch your new hood spring over the existing notch.

Well tried to get it back on, not good. Almost ripped my thumb off, 3 double stitches in the webbing between index finger and thumb. Any ideas on how to get that dang spring on?

Ouch. Might be safer to remove the fender and then the hinge. Do it in a vise. When you heal up, salty roads here.

It was off the car and in a vise, when trying to tighten up spring (other one broke in pieces) it slipped out of vise. I’m looking for another one today in my stash pile.
