hood hinges

I ve owned my 70 Plymouth Duster for 28 years and it was my first car in High School. I have a question about the hinges. Both springs have broke and no longer holding up the hood. Will Demon hood springs of the same year work in my Duster? Any info would be appreciated. Thx!

I took a closer look ..the hood hinges are off of a 72 Demon..wiil they still work in my 70 Duster?

Simple if the fenders are off. Other wise you need to remove the inner fenders to gain access. They are on the back side of the fender. Most likely the panel will be covered with undercoating. Use a bar to reach back there and pry the hinges off the pins. When you put the lock washers back on you will need some help. I took socket extension to put the washers back on through the crack between the fender and the door. Be sure to cover the area where you are working with masking tape to protect your paint.
