Hey guys,Im installing my Classic Industries hood insulation[ma340] kit today....
1969 340 Swinger..
question is...which way does it go??LOL.
I believe the black smooth lies against the underside of the hood, and the "fuzzy" grey part is what you see when you open the hood.....
But,I want to be %100,so PLEASE voice...maybe even post a pic...
Thanks!

Fuzzy side down is how most OEM's do it, but a lot of people put it on the other way because it looks better.
If your requires adhesive THEN you def want the fuzzy side down.
If it's clips only, then pick what you like best.

Wow,2 different answers..lol.
I believe fuzzy down is oem.but it would look better smooth side down.(fuzzy side up)
I well I'm still on the fence...anybody else wanna chime in.
I'm using fact style clips...btw

i guesss OEM is fuzzy side down.

most ive seen including mine are smooth side to engine maybe because it looks better?

Well I thought about it and I truly believe fuzzy down is correct....
However I don't like the look and I'm going shiny side down.
IM sure either way is a nice finishing touch to an under hood restoration.
Thanks guys!!
