Hood locks/pins

Anybody used these typ locks first time fore me,realy cheep and made from alu gona try them out on the truck im modifing the tip of the hood and cant use the stock lock payd 20$ whid shipping

Looks like the ball studs that hold all the plastic late model engine covers in place. You just yank 'em and they release. I don't think it'd be strong enough to hold a scooped hood on . But I'm just guessing. Never seen them before.
 
You could not pay me to use anything other than a positive locking type device.
If you want clandestine positive locking system mount the pins on the hood and have them go into holes in the upper rad support. I'm sure it could be done cleanly with an easy positive lock pin insertion
