Anybody used these typ locks first time fore me,realy cheep and made from alu gona try them out on the truck im modifing the tip of the hood and cant use the stock lock payd 20$ whid shipping

Nah never used em... been a few times I wished I had! Those are different than the old school ones...
Looks like the ball studs that hold all the plastic late model engine covers in place. You just yank 'em and they release. I don't think it'd be strong enough to hold a scooped hood on . But I'm just guessing. Never seen them before.

They make larger ones specifically for hoods, mine were the smaller 1/4” ones.

This are the lager ones and no plastic inside all alu iv never use onley this system whid out a safty latch not even on my race car,I did try to pry them appart but not a chans this ones will popp loose
You could not pay me to use anything other than a positive locking type device.
If you want clandestine positive locking system mount the pins on the hood and have them go into holes in the upper rad support. I'm sure it could be done cleanly with an easy positive lock pin insertion

Neat design, but I wouldn't use them without a secondary latch.
