As a slant 6 guy myself, I'm plum shocked that you didn't say "yank the slant out for an LS, new hemi, turbo small block, or some such. Makes me smile.

If you can find a 1973 V8 A body (not a 1973 6-cylinder car) and or a 1974 to 1976 A body donor car you can remove all the front suspension pieces, A arms with ball joints, brakes, spindles, lower control arms with ball joints and rear end and the wheels to convert your 1972 A body to the bigger 4.5-wheel bolt pattern
