I have a 1970 swinger 360 short block from mopar, edelbrock rpm heads have a be cool aluminum radiator with electric fan and a march pulley serpentine belt system. I just swapped in this radiator hoping it would cure my cooling problems.I also am running the eight blade hi flow mopar water pump.Engine still overheats in traffic but as soon as i take off it starts to cool down almost instantly especially if i take of fast. also was wondering if anyone has clearance issues between the radiator and water pump i barley had room in there for my electric fan.
 
I think your electric fan isn't pulling enough air. I'd get rid of it and put a regular fan with fan shroud on it. I had a very similar issue with a very similar car.

get a better fan or switch back to the stock fan.. they put that style of fan on it for a reason..
