How about this?

The factory a/c for your year model can be found for a whole lot less. You can adapt a later reciprocting compressor replacing the RV2.
But hey its all brand new parts and may be a great system or should I say cool LOL.
Its my understanding that even the no so new R134a gas is destine to be outlawed and/or replaced within the next couple years.
One more thing to consider is availability and cost of replacement parts like the blower motor. I know mfgrs of home heat/air systems have custom built blower assemblies that can't be bought from anyone but them and at a premium.

hmmm i think AC maybe put on the when im older list. For now ill just keep the windows open. I plan to do a whole restoration on this car later in life. Right now i kinda just want it running LOL.

Just remember that the right side of the firewall is different between A/C and non A/C cars.
