how are the 833 overdrives???

-
Doing the math with a 0.73 for an OD and a 3.92 gear works out to an effective 2.86 ratio. With 4:10's it is 3.00 ratio.

My car has 25560R15's which have a rollout of 84". The rpm with 3.92s at 75 would be 2700. With 4:10s it would be 2820. Sorry I had to calculate it, but I have not installed my tach yet. If you have smaller rear tires the rpm will be more. Hope this helps

Here are some interesting A833 things I found on the net. Seems fairly accurate

64 cuda. Years ago (18 to be exact...I'm getting old) I ran the 3.09 first gear (non O/D) trans in my 1970 340 duster. I had 4.86 gears and slicks. I liked that gearset and it provided some wheels up launches in the car at the dragstrip (i could just get some daylight under the left front tire). The shift from first to second did occur in a hurray thats for sure! On the street I would just start in second gear because I the 4.86's.

Don't know how old you are, but I might be older. My car hasn't even been driven for about 27 years! 18 years ago is nuthin', ya' young whippersnapper! :toothy10: I'm gonna' be 50 in less than 2 weeks!
