How can you tell what rear end you have ??

I have a 74 Duster with 30,000 miles on it. Its basically a survivor but needs a lil TLC. It has not been molested but does anyone know the codes that can tell what rear end is in it? is it the 7.5 or the 8 1/4?
It does have 10 bolts in the diff housing.
Its a 318 2b with an automatic (904)?

Most likely a 8.25, not the 7.25. Look at the cover, and you can tell by comparing to the pictures on the link I posted.

The 8 1/4 has 10 bolts on the cover and I believe that the 7 1/4 has only 9.
