I was always a huge fan of how MOPAR dealt with the FEDs addressing the Clean Air Act. While Chevy was bolting air pumps and plumbing check valves to the exhaust manifolds along with everything else they were craming under hoods, us MOPAR guys only had to worry with PCV valves and a hot air inlet on the factory air cleaner, ignition timing and properly calibrated chokes. I moved to smoggy Calif in 82 and got to say, I wish I never did that. Aside from meeting the woman I would end up being married to for the last 34 years, still with her, don't know why she is with me still and the fun I managed to have before that day. Calif. was hard to deal with where it came to emissions especially when you move there with an out of state car that NEVER was equipped with any real emission control. A main reason I finally got out of there. I went back some years later and couldn't wait to get back home.
