how do i remove this

Well geting the steering coloum out was very easy.i removed it so i could remove the shifter knob ans shift indecader.My plan is to save some money here by keeping the old coloum.I will cut off thoes two things flush use body filler ans paint.But how do i remove the shifter leaver at the outher end cut it or is there an easy way to remove it.

You'll have to take the plastic 'where the bolt is in the pic' shaft bearing off to start, the rest is self explanatory.

Take everything apart and cut the lever off.
