I installed the plastic a pillar molding and I'm not sure how it connects to the metal headliner molding that joins it. There is a hole in the metal headliner molding for a screw to go through. Perhaps there is supposed to be some kind of screw clip or plastic nut goes here? What does it look like? Its for a '70 Dart.

Referencing a '71 Demon......

The metal headliner trim gets installed after the A pillar, and whatever the finishing panels in the rear of a Dart are. There are 2 clips in the metal trim that clip into the roof channel, and a screw hole at each end of the metal trim.

The metal trim holds the A pillar end and rear panel ends and long screws go through both and into the channel that the metal moulding is covering effectively sandwiching the A pillar trim and rear trim.

The screws are about 1 3/8 long and have small philips heads.

Here is a pic of the metal trim, clips and screws.

Any other questions or pics (if this doesn't make sense) needed let me know.

Good luck

P.S. I am pretty sure that I have some extra screws if you need them.

Thanks! I see what I missed. I didn't realize that the screw went into the body and not a clip. The screw hole is covered up by the new headliner which didn't help any.
