I have a large spring that apparently is used to hold the jack in place. I just can't figure out what it hooks to on the jack. Can someone send me a pic or two that shows how the jack, jack stand, and lug wrench stow away in Aaron's Dart Sport?

Thanks,
Jerry

If memory serves, the jack just lays in and the spring keeps it from rattling about. Look for some holes that may line up. It's been many years, since I've seen that spring, though I do remember it. It held the jack bar, Jack and tire iron in place. The jack plate was used to hold down the spare tire. I think ya hooked that spring on the jack mechanism -hook n jacked it up tight to keep it from rattling. Hope that helps a bit.

the spring just hooks over the top of the jack...no holes. It more or less just hold it down. the stand probably was in the spare wheel well flipped upside down and bolted on with the spare.

I see in your sig that you have A-body parts for sale. Happen to have any spare tire hold-down hardware?
