Can someone tell me how many total freeze plugs there are in a 318 and how many of each size? Thanks

Just go to NAPA, tell them what year motor you are working on.
They sell a complete kit with every size you need.
Pay a little more for the brass ones. It will run you around $20

This is the part number for small block LA brass plugs.

I got that part above, the sealed power kit. But it only came with one freeze plug for the heads and all the others are 1 5/8 inch plugs. It doesn't seem complete? Also, all the plugs seem to be much deeper.

I just went up and checked and you are absolutely right, I only used one head freeze plug out of the kit, and there is none in there.
I think the head ones are like 1.25", I do have a bunch of 1.625" left in the package.
Did you buy them at NAPA, if so have them give you 3 more freeze plugs for the heads.

for the block (3) 1&5/8" on the left side. (3) 1&5/8" on the right side. (2) 1&5/8" in the rear bell face. In the front (1) 1&5/8" on the drivers side and (1) 1&1/4" on the pass side. EDIT I got some Dorman 1&1/4 ones for the heads then next time I went there (NAPA/carquest)) the same number came as a much shallower plug. I wanted the deep ones I got before but to no avail. & I'm talking about steel ones.

Turns out the kit includes all the freezeplugs for the block, none for the heads. And no, I ordered them from summit. Thanks guys
