How much fluid?

Well, I think I'm gonna try to wrestle my 727 in today and was wondering how much fluid to put in the torque convertor before I put it in. Also, I read that an empty tranny will take around 10 qts of fluid, what type are you guys running?

i usually only put a qt. in a new converter. yes an empty trans and converter will take up near 10 qts. to fill. i use dextron III or what ever it is now.

I agree with Joe. Throw one in the torque converter, I add 6-8 then fire it up, and add more til it reads full.
