What are the flow numbers on the heads? With that cam you're going to have to buzz it to every bit of 8K. The heads will likely be the bottleneck, they tend to stall at lifts above .550..

Depending on head flow, anywhere from 490-570. I'd guess 535 if they flow 265 at .550

the heads flow between 260 and 270.the cam was chosen for the use of nitrous.i plan to shift a 7200 to 7400.

WOW sounds like a Hell of a motor! How well will those stock rods hold up? Would Eagle sir or h beam be better? I only ask because I'm currently gathering parts for a new motor and was looking a buying a new set instead of reuseing the old ones. Jeff

Very close to my old 340. Mine was 11:1, [email protected]" solid flat tappet. Heads flowed about the same. Mine made 485hp @6900, shift at 7200rpms. went 11.60s in a B body @ 3600lbs.

I would say around 500-520hp @7500rpms, shift closer to 7800rpms
