My father in law is letting me use his old Miller Cricket 115V Mig for some welding I need to do on my car. He told me he always wished it was a gas welder, much cleaner welds obviously.

I was wondering if there is a way I can convert this to use some sort of argon gas for him? Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the Miller site or call the tech line. They have the best tech line in the business, IMHO.

The welder may have provisions for gas, Is there a pipe style fitting poking out of the case at the rear? Might need to get a regulator, hose, fittings and tank.

Some can be used ether way some can't. Need to check like crackback said. I do know it will weld way better with the gas. The no gas hollow wire ones suck. You will need to get the wire for gas if you do change it over.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I haven't looked it over at all. I'll check it tonight for the pipe connection and give miller a call.

I'll keep you posted
