Now this topic is different.Just notice bees trying to make there way into the house neer my evastrough and facer board any tips on trying to get rid of them befor we call in help. What I have tryed so far is useing a spray foam that i have sprayed into were they are going in .This stuff is an insectaside.Any tips would be helpfull.Right now i am bee off.

Well that stuff seams to be working so far I have not seen a bee trying to get in.I hope it works.

I have my spray foam ready to go,what do you all think give it a day or more than than seal it up.all tell you so far it has only cost me 18 bucks still thats thats 18 bucks that could of went into the Dart lol.

Brake cleaner is another effective way to kill unwanted things...wasps, hornets, ants, rattlers and yes, even the occasional pesky mother-in-law.

Happened to be up on the north side of Lake Simcoe last weekend. A buddy gave me a tip on bees that his softball team used at a tournament. Take a 2 liter bottle of Orange Crush, drink half the bottle, on the angled part of the neck cut a triangular hole bending down the bottom part, ie, don't cut all three sides of the triangle. Put the cap on and watch the bees commit suicide ! We actually used a 12 oz bottle of orange juice and in the first 40 minutes caught 13 bees...

Carpenter bees? Anything kills them, including a tennis racket (they hardly ever sting, only the female can) Before I rebuilt my carport with PT wood, I used wasp and Hornet Killer. Once they lay the larva, a woodpecker can hear it- then the real damage begins, as the woodpecker tears the wood open, in order to eat the larva.

I had bees go through the eves of my house and build a nest in the attic. The exterminator used a spray to kill the bees that were in the hive and then he put Seven Dust in the Eves and around the old hive to kill the rest that would come back.

Seven Dust works well becuase it won't kill them right away. The Seven Dust gets on the bees wings and legs and they bring it back to the hive to kill the rest of the bees.

Geeze.......I hope they aren't honey bees. If they are I'd be building a box for them. We need to help them. If they are, call a local bee keeper, he'll be happy to come out and get them.
My sister just had the same thing happen to her home in RI and a guy came out and collected them for free. This is the time of year they "move out" to establish new colonies.

I agree with MVRCorp! Honey bees are getting more scarce. They are easy to collect by a beekeeper. Without Honey Bees, we'll all starve to death unless we can find someone to do all the pollinating.

You forgot hand grenade

If you launch another attack do it at first light they will still be in the hive and it will be too cold for them to swarm you back , at night they are still warm from the day and active enough to counter attack but in the cold morning they can barely fly , this is of course assuming they are not honey bees if they are you must call a bee keeper and spray anyone who suggests otherwise with the remaining foam

I agree with DMVRCorp and bamacuda. Find out what you got before using insecticides.

I assume you mean wasps, bees are the good guys, without bees we'll die and in very short order.

I agree, find out what kind of bees they are first.
IF they are honey bees call a bee keeper.
If they are superbees call me :)

Sorry there going down no matter what they are.Today there still going in but not as bad me thinks the foam spray is slowly working, but i may have to call in the troops. Thanks for all the help and tips.I now have a bottle of pop neer by also to trap them.
