How to get trunk lock out?

Can anyone tell me how to get the trunk lock out of the hole without the key?
I can't seem to get it to budge and I don't want to mess the lock flange up.

You will have to remove the rear seat and open the trunk from the inside. Then its easy from there

Sorry, I didn't specify. I have the trunk latch out already. I just can't get the tumbler and the rod out of the tail panel.

oh then if I remember correctly there is just a nut on the back of the tumbler assembly that you remove.

That is not what I wanted to hear. I have put penetrating fluid on the nut every week for the last month and it still won't come off.

Definitely stuck. I had to drill it out. Took forever!
Looks like I need a new trunk lock assembly.

depends on year of car. My 71 had a slide clip that held the lock set in place. Once I pulled it off the lock, tumbler rod all comes out as one piece. I have a 74 parts car I think had a nut to hold everything in place.

And I think if you have the key part in your hand and the rod and tumbler is still in the car you need to get another lock set.
