Do I put a screwdriver across the BAT and SOL terminals with the key in the ON position? I can't work on the car where it is and don't want to spend $200 on a tow bill. Any help appreciated.

I bieleve the fat wire going to the starter and the positive 12 volt wire to engage just stick the screw driver on it you will find out when it arks off lol.

BAT to SOL should do the trick get it turning over if the starter is good.
