I have a bare D60 housing that I will be narrowing as soon as my wheels and axle ends come in.
What I need to know is "how can I accurately measure pinion center-line"?
Where do I measure to and from, remember this is a bare housing that used to be full floating. Pics would help as well if anybody could help me out.

Thanks

Pretty simple. Make the drivers side axle tube 1 3/8" longer than the pass sice and the pinion will be in the proper location for a mopar.

There is a pinion centerline gauge you can use. Looks like this.

I have a spreadsheet that might be able to assist you. All you need is the overall length and it does the rest. Gives each axle length, axle tube length for doing this kind of stuff. Shoot me a PM with your e-mail.

Thanks, I found on the net that pinion centerline gauge for about $24, made by Autofab. I will probably order one the middle of next week.
