How to polish/ restore alternator

How easy is it to disassemble a Mopar alternator to polish/restore??

The only tough part is removing the pulley, which takes a special puller tool.

I was wondering the same actually because I have a chrome alternator case from mancini racing and need to know how to disassemble the alternator to install the new case.

I polish carbs with a 10 buck dremel and wire brush then use a clay compound to smooth it... keeping aluminum bright though is a whole nother' trick.

Their is a hole/ slot in the back that you have to put a paper clip in to retain the brushes to put it back together. iirc
