How to remove shift knob

How do you remove the shift lever knob on a 65 Barracuda with automatic and floor console? I can't see any screws to release the knob on the shifter so I can remove the floor console cover to replace the carpet.

There should be a Allen set screw in the outer knob. Loosen it, unscrewing the knob actually.. Button screws off the cable inside ( we hope ) then all comes off together.

Finally found the hole with the set screw on the lower front facing the dash. Thanks for the response!

They don't thread on on a 65 . There is just a set screw
