How to replace Duster door glass

I just bought a good used door glass for my 71. The door is off the car and door panel and whiskers are off the door also. The glass I got has many holes across the bottom and it looks like the glass still in the door has phillips screws into plastic bushings in these holes. I tried to loosen the screws but the whole bushing turns. It looks like if I can get the screws out the glass will lift out. Am I on the right track with this?? Thanks for any help.

I did this two years ago and I recall having the same problem. The screw has to be backed out of the plastic fitting which is probably stripped. You need to find away to secure the fitting so it doesn't spin so you can turn the screw out. Then you just pull the fitting though the hole in the window.

And a word of caution when putting the new glass in. Be real cautious tightening the glass holder nuts. I shattered my window being overly agressive.
