How to tell a 904 from 727

Hi, how can I tell a 904 from a 727? I want to put a later model 904 in my 1965 Cuda. Thanks:::cheers:

Length would be another way, 904 is a little over 34" long and the 727 is a little over 38" long for the slip yoke version.

The pan. A 904 is more or less square with an angle in one corner the 727 had a protrusion in one corner
