Hs anybody done a coil over conversion with the stock K frame and lower control arms?

I e-mailed Ron over at Magnum Force; and it doesn't seem too hard to do this conversion for about 1/4 of the price of a full kit from Magnum Force or RMS. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go this route and was wondering if anybody here has done it? I do have a link for a later A body car that did it. Pictures; but no commentary.

The thing about these conversions is the shock towers were never meant to carry the entire weight of the front end. That's why a lot of the conversions have an extra piece that stretches up under the shock tower. In their pics they show the tower tied in to their rollcage.

So part of that extra expense is in not ruining your shock towers.

Yeah; in fact Ron told me that they have a shock tower brace kit for $180 for that very purpose.
