My 73 Duster 4 Speed feels a little sloppy and my buddy who works on Mopars said I should replace it with a Comp Plus. After searching Summit and Jegs there is no application for Dusters? I was under the impression that all mopar 4 speeds were the same?
If I cannot use the Mopar Comp Plus what are my alternatives for aftermarket?

here it is from summit...i ordered this same one for my 4 speed A-body......

It appears your 1st gear stop bolt is much shorter then the standard bolt. I have a problem with the standard bolt hitting trans tunnel in my 72 Duster. Can you recommend a shorter bolt to use.

Thanks

Where did you buy your linkage from, that looks heaver than my stock linkage.
What handle came with the shifter?

that linkage/and operating levers is from brewers performance....very nice quality stuff they have...

no handle came with the shifter...thats just a piece of aluminum i stuck in there...i ended buying an A- body 4 speed shift handle from a member on this site...BUT, you can buy a restored unit from brewers....if you want....mighty expensive, if ya ask me....

Thanks,
I am very familiar with Wayne at breweres, I buy most my 4-speed stuff from him.
In fact it is so bad he is on speed dial on my phone.
Great company to deal with.

maybe just shorten the threads on the bolt? is it correctly adjusted once all hooked up onto your trans with the levers in place?

In the Sumitt application guide, it states the Competition Plus shifter will not work with a center console...is that corrrect? It seems that with the right handle it would,,, does anyone know for sure?thanks
