If you have your factory shifter I believe the thread is 3/8X24 not 16.

Most A body shift handles I have seen are 3/8-24 fine thread.

all original a body handles iv'e had were 3/8 24 fine,thats why i had to buy a new one.i had a non factory handle in my demon and it was angled the wrong way,every time i tried to bang 2nd i hit myself in the balls.....so i went to a factory a handle.
