Hey guys i'm putting my magnum 360 back togehter and was looking at the roller cams vs. flat tappets. What do i need in order to use the flat tappet 'La" style cams in the magnum?. I already have the la timing cover. And i have a fuel pump ecentric from a la motor. Is this a good idea to do. I'd rather not spend the 300 bucks on a roller cam. I have a 71 duster 10to 1 flattops 3000 stall,3.23gears (for now) gonna be 90 percent strip 10 street car. stock magnum heads. thanks for the advice.

roller cam block needs a roller cam, if you want to use a flat tappet cam you can put magnum heads on an LA block

The lifter angles are different so the lobes of the cam won't be timed correctly.
