I got screw on E-bay

Listen up guys theres a new seller on E-bay-a scrap yard from Buffalo NY- Be very carefull. I got 2 taillights for my St Regis cause I like how the Newport ones look-it has more chrome and less red, anyways I got them today and the look like crap. The chrome is missing a few places and its all pitted and thats the good one. The other has a lot of chrome missing. I paid $30 just in shipping cost and its going to cost me around $20 to ship these back. If they don't refund everything I am calling my credit card company up. Oh, it said the lights have minor wear, BS

The lights are not crack at all just all the chrome looks very bad. Has anybody here got plastic parts like taillights rechrome. If so how did they come out and how much was it. I am out $85 right now and another scrap yard this one in Albama has a set for $180. I thinking now should I try them or just get these light rechrome.

Anything that old coming out of a scrap yard that has been sitting outside is going to have pits! It is pot metal and it pits bad.Did you ask all the pertinent questions on about them before you bid! I have made over 500 purchases on e bay and never been screwed.I was disappointed a couple of times but then after I thought about it i should have asked questions.Those couple of times were when I first started out. Maybe you are a little too quick to say you got screwed by the seller.By the way I am not an e bay seller,have never sold anything on e bay and don't plan to.I am a COLLECTOR as I explain it to my LOVING WIFE! LOL COLLECTORS like to hold onto things! :toothy7:

Yes it was from Buffalo and no I did not ask, the picture did look good and it said minor wear and the picture was taken inside so I thought it might have been inside for awhile. I buy alot on E-bay too and most of the time things are fine but there is some bad sellers-don't kidd yourself. This was from a 30 year old scarp yard so I believe it when it said minor wear. I was told that these guys are great and things will be fine. For the next pair I am looking outside the snowbelt. I think those guys need a better camera also. Oh and the right side has big pieces of chrome missing so its more than pitting, these look bad believe me, they are for a $500 car.

I just got a E-mail from the seller and he said if I send them back he refund all my money that I paid him so I just be out $20 or so. Not too bad, not the first time I threw away $20 and most likley it won't be the last time :toothy7: . Yes he told me I should have ask what shape they were in. I allways will from now on, unless it says mint. I can't not remove this post I believe otherwise I would. Guess I did not get screw after all. Later
