Just HAD to drag home a pop-up pickup camper this weekend. The canvas is a bit of a mess. I took the last couple days removing it, I'm going to sew the inside (canvas) "curtains" permanently across most of the windows. This leaves the two up over the "cab over" on the sides, the top vent, the small window in front under the cab hangover, and two crank out windows on the pass side.
I've already yanked out the cabinet at left rear, that is where the sink/ cooktop is, and was in poor shape. I think I'll put a shelf in to replace it, and the ice chest can go under. The front part of the cabinet will likely stay, I pulled out the "mounted" ice chest, which is a POS. It had a furnace at one time, now gone, so has a place for a LP bottle. I may put feet on the range top and use it sort of like a portable, with flex hose. Water / sink can be plastic trays and bottled water.
The front windows over the cab are useable and will stay. The rear side windows, and the front and rear all have no plastic, and will have the "curtains" sewed over them "permanently"
On the seller's pickup, it's nicer'n mine!!
I'll have to "do something" with the front side screen. The jacks are worth 20% of the price LOL. Seller put 2x8's all along underneath for no good reason, trying to make it fit his truck. I'll figure "something" underneath, as it will go on the White Whale III 3/4T. So there will have to be a platform underneath. This camper likely fit a Ranger / older Toyota HiLux etc I could also "rig" it for my Dakota
The Dinette is not too bad. Replacing the wrap around edge trim will fix it. It and the post yanks right out of there
