Ace Hardware has a sale on this Milwaukee “Packout” modular tool box stuff, the more you spend the bigger the discount percentage is. You get $200 off when you spend $499 or more. I’ve always wanted something like this that was portable.
So I finally figured out exactly what I wanted & it’s a bit unconventional. I used a dolly with a shelf unit for the base, this allows me the ability to roll this around and also have access to the lower storage with removing everything else.
Here’s one of my amateur videos:

That’s a great idea! Portable yet very much like having a big roll around tool chest for the shop!

Thanks for the video and sharing your idea!

Kitty loves hers! It's not Milwaukee, but it's Harbor Freight. Very similar setup but their base comes mounted on a hand truck. I got hers because she takes one of her sewing machines to her quilting group every week and it makes it really easy to take her stuff with her. Each piece clamps to the other. I got her the first, third and fourth ones here, as she didn't need the second large box. She didn't like um at first, because they weren't purple and pink and girly lookin. But now that she sees how easy it is to move her stuff around, I'd get shot if I tried to take um away. lol

The Milwaukee stuff in our local Ace Hardware....that I cannot even afford on sale is what ave me the idea. LOL

I don't own any personally, but we have them at work on the technical rescue trailer for storing tools for building collapse. Also have them them on the engines. They've really stood up to the test of time and abuse by us knuckle draggers.

If you can afford them, I highly recommend. But like Rusty, my pockets aren't quite deep enough.

We just happened to go to our local Ace Hardware yesterday and they they all were. Tons of um lined up. They also have some that have the hand truck made on, too. They are really nice.

I've seen plenty of those on job sites. Milwaukee really does their homework! Whatever plastic they use is really tough and durable.

The neighbor 4 doors down from me has one, and he seems to like it. I only mention this because he's ex-military, and he likes things "just so", and in my opinion, if he's happy with it/them, it just may be a pretty good product.

I ponied up last year, and bought a set for work. Love the heck out of them, especially the radio, and get a ton of compliments about them as well.

We were at WalMart today and I saw their version. Bout the same kinda thing. I'm sure though the Milwaukee is NICE and you more than get your money's worth.....but if you're like us and on a skimpy budget, there are other options. Get this......I used a BIG Craftsman one with a handle on one end and wheels on the other for our cat litter box. I cut an opening in the end with the handle and removed the lid. Hey, it works good. I can wheel it outside and clean it out GOOD when I need to with no problem. The cats got it goin on. LOL

If you decide you want to hang some of them on the walls of your garage, trailer, truck bed, whatever...we sell a lot of these. Made in-house here in Idaho. These are the full size, we also make the smaller "half" size. I'd be happy to give a good discount to FABO/FBBO members. :)
