Saw this last night, looks interesting. Anybody try it? Claims up to 20 hp increase.

No way I'd trust that to stay stuck with adhesive with hot oil all over it.

You could get the bottom of the intake manifold ceramic coated to reduce heat transfer if you're really worried about it, an don't have to worry about it coming loose and causing big problems. Probably wouldn't reduce temps as much as a shield, but would be more reliable.

Or even drill the thing and use standoff's to bolt it on so it leaves a gap between the intake and the shield.
