I am going to switch to a smaller rim on the rear of my 67 Dart. Right now I have 15 x 8 weld draglites with 245 60 tires and I had to roll the fender lip to keep them from rubbing. Well, I want to roll the fender lip back to where it supposed to be and to do that I am going to drop back to a 15 x 7 wheel. I would like to see some pictures of the wheel tire combos of Darts with 15 x 7 wheels on the rear. Would like to keep this to just Darts only, no Dart Sports as they will hold a lot more wheel and tire than regular Darts. Doesn't matter what style of rim as long as it is a 15 x 7. Also post your tire size.

15x7 4.5 backspace 4.5 bolt pattern 225/70s with about 1/4 inch to spare before the springs, and about 1.5 inches from the side of the tire to the inside of the fender lip.

275/60/15 on a 7" wheel. stock wheel wells but the leaf springs have been relocated under frame.

You can see some close up pictures in this thread. I did actually trim out a little of the fender lip to eliminate rubbing in turns from the body roll after driving car for a year without any fender modifications.

That spring relocation put a lot of room on the backside. Thanks for the info.

^I see your Dart driving around once in a while. Great looking car.

I run a 15x7 (ralley sbp) rim with a 255/60 tire on a 70 Dart, super stock springs, and stock wheel wells with no rubbing.

I have been told if you run a 15x7 with a 4.25 inch backspace you can stuff up to a 255-70-R15. I will be running this size on my 74 Dart Swinger.
Also what size and backspace are your front rims? and tires?

Here is mine 15x7 with 4.25 BS 255/60/15 and the offset shackle kit.

I'm running 15x7 cop wheels with 275/60/15 tires out back. Stock suspension, rolled the fender lip slightly. 8 3/4 rear if that makes a difference. about 4 1/4 backspace on the cop rims.

Same rim and tire combo in my signature as well.

SirDan, that is a lot of tire in there. And I thought my 245 60's were tight in there. Thats where the 7" vs 8" rim makes the difference in a stock wheel well.
