Hello everyone
I've been building my 66 Dart for 3 years now for the sole purpose of taking it to local events to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.
Soo far I have gained a respectable following. I created a Facebook page called " Team Turning Frowns Upside Down ."
I know this is a huge stretch but I fig I'd write this post here in the hopes of getting some extra help finishing this build.
The motor that is in my car was kindly donated 5.2 magnum
Motor.
The transmission is a A904.
Both were intended to be temporary. .3 years ago..lol
It has a 7 1/4 rear which was also donated.
I'm looking too see if anyone has a good 8 1/4 rear,5.9 liter, and a 727 for abody dodge they would be willing to donate for a good cause.
Anyone that donates I'll be happy to put them as a sponser on my 2 ft plaque I display with the car at shows.

Ok well, thank you for reading and any and all help is truly welcome.

Craig

No need to put a 727 transmission in it.It is a tight fit in my 74 dart and would be even tight in a 66 Dart.a904 can easily be built to handle any power you can give it.Do you race it or show only?
Are you in Texas?

I have an 8.25 with 2.45 ratio. The tubes have been welded and the perches moved in for mini tubs. Less drums and brake hardware. Get a low first gear set in that 904 and it will launch great and still be a highway star.

That sounds like a good start. I'd have to gut it and put 3.76 posi guts in it and re weld the perches to 43".

Is it a A body 53" unit ?

Came out of my 75 Duster. Somebody on here would love to have that 2.45 gear set.

Well,I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.
Ideally I'd like to find a complete rear that is 3.23 to 4.56 already set up for my car.
It's 53" wide with 43" spring perches.
A 8 3/4 would be perfect but I'm sure there are none to be found on a limited budget.
I do know a 8 1/4 can be built/ already built. They are lightweight and much cheaper to be had.
It's very nice to meet you,and thank you for at least offering.
I did look at rebuilding a 8 1/4 my way but it's seems better to wait since they are pretty common.
