I have a solid lifter cam in my 451 stroker. I was adjusting the valves this way. Number 1 cylinder watched till the intake valve started to open and adjusted the Exhaust valve to 12 thousands then rolled motor over till the exhaust valve was wide open and just beginning to close and then I adjusted the Intake valve to 14 Thousands. Went to the next cylinder which is number 3 and went to move the intake to where it was just starting to open but the exhaust valve and intake valve are over lapping on that cylinder. How do I adjust that? no one says anything about that in adjusting valves. Please help me out.
Then I have another problem. I put cometic head gaskets on my motor and it sounds like I am running open headers when I am not. Could the gaskets be leaking that bad? I seem to have a lot of pressure in my Radiator before it even gets hot. Is there an easy way to find out if the head gaskets are leaking? Please I really need help here.
Thanks.:sad7:
