I Phone Charger Fire

I found this article while surfing the web. I was wondering if anyone of you were aware of a charger causing a fire if left plugged into a power source. Here is the link to the story. I would be interested in your opinions regarding this subject. My wife leaves her phone charger plugged into the power source in her truck and we have never had any issues. I don't take the chance, I always unplug them if they aren't plugged into the phone.

i leave my stuff plugged in all over the place.. wonder if that was an actual apple charger or some cheap *** **** from like overstock.com or something..

Well have you ever touched one sometimes? They do get hot. My house caught fire from an alarm clock that overheated and burned down.

thats not good you have to be careful of everything that you plug in I guess anymore
