I think I'm missing a nut.

Hole is about 50mm deep, I haven't measure it.
Sure threads are there, and I can turn bolt one or two turns until it stops completely.
I think thread tap is only option, I try to clean threads first.
 
all we can do is tell you the thread it should be we can't account for anyone who might have been there before and done something silly

In the UK good quality bolts in this size can be purchased from places that build or repair JCB and similar tractors and machinery
or vintage "London style" Taxis and busses

I know this.
I just wanted to be sure about threads that I am not throwing there bolt that does not fit.
