I was sent the wrong valves will they work?

I ordered multi groove valves for the 340 i am building. I was sent single groove with the locks. I didnt order the locks so i am assuming they were out of the mulit groove and sent me the single.

I ordered multi because thats what was on the heads previously.

Should i return the single and get multi?

Is there any advantages / disadvantages to either one?

AS long as they are physically the same, except for the locks, run them.

I never run the multi-groove valves/locks anymore unless it's the only viable option. Always switch to single groove.

The Edelbrocks have single groove locks and they work with some pretty high lift cams.
