But it's odd that it got left with a column shifter.
I can't say I've ever seen that on a Dart.
I'd love to see the GT / 3 tree production numbers.
Especially V8 cars.
A column shift is not very "GT-y" as in "spirited driving" friendly.
Kind of like that batch of 1973/4 "Rallye" Charger give away cars that all came with a 318 and 3 on the tree.

Even a floor shift 3 speed is much more suited to spirited driving, rally or gran tuismo.
