I wish it was closer craigslist finds

Wait a minute, let me take that back. I do like the 68 barracuda. That sacrificed its v8 k-frame for my slant six seventy three duster, before I bought it....

If you have FB, or can otherwise read the description, you may find this one, uh...."interesting"!

Update: the auction didn't hit the reserve price. High bid was $5327. It is now "for sale". The asking price is $12075.

i think the hemmings bid was a little soft, but not "lo-baller" status. 12 is a little rich considering the overall shabby nature and the bobo work that you can see-- because you know there's double what you can't.

the whole "the top goes goes down, the price goes up" does hold true, but i'd say value is closer to 5 than the 12 ask

I'm 65. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the "values" of what not too long ago, I'd like to think, were $800 cars. In 2008, I bought my '74 Dart Sport. (pictured then and now). No options, no rust (the reason I bought it), 198, 3 on the tree (360, 727, 9" now). I paid $1500, and remember thinking it was too much. Glad I bought it then.

I often wonder who sprayed ugly brown over the ugly avocado gold. :realcrazy:

same, same. i remember when these cars were *cheap* too!

i mean, you couldn't buy barracudas or 340 darts for beer money or anything but you could get something that ran and drove for $500 or a 4dr that was pretty darn nice for 1500.

now clapped out 4drs are 5K and anything sub 1500 is stuff that i've seen better in the junkyard!

20 would be a good deal with a 340 in it. Now if it was a fastback it would be worth 30. If it all good.
I'm just thinking the car will get nit-picked, nothing bad but for $30,000 you better believe it'll get brought up (black engine bay, smashed headers/exhaust dumps, A/C firewall without A/C, no 8 3/4, etc...)

as a buyer you want 20 as a seller you want 30, i think this splits the baby.

it's OG ca car, it's all there, it's 340 with big bolt and a sway bar. OG AC car is a plus, too. while the rims are certainly not my cuppa, that's up there with the black engine bay. but at that, the interior best be *perfect* otherwise the bottom falls out of that right quick.
